The Murder of Roger Ackroyd

The Murder of Roger Ackroyd

Available on Prime Video, ITVX
S7 E1: Hercule Poirot has recently retired to the picturesque village of Kings Abbott England - indulging in his new pursuit of growing marrows. Life does not remain quiet for very long for the famed Belgian detective. Poirot's old friend, wealthy industrialist Roger Ackroyd, is murdered in his own study at home. Poirot's legendary 'little grey cells' are reactivated and he is reunited with his old partner in crime-solving Chief Inspector Japp. Everyone in Ackroyd's household falls under Poirot's scrutiny, from his sister-in-law to the butler Parker. No one can explain the sudden disappearance of young Ralph, who had the most to gain from the death of his adoptive father. Poirot and Japp expose a tangled web of blackmail, envy and murder as out of place in a country village as Ackroyd's inferno of a factory. It is enough to convince Poirot to move back to London.
