Spare the Rod and Spoil the Child

S3 E2: A woman is found stabbed to death in her home. Is it a crime of passion committed by her lover, Rodolphe Becker, recently released from prison after serving time for murdering his wife? All the evidence in the first crime pointed to Becker, but he has steadfastly maintained his innocence. He is a troubling and willfully ambiguous figure, who fills Candice with doubts. Did he kill once again? Is she dealing with a murderer... or an innocent man?
