Such Dire Stuff

S2 E6: Pryce gives Roman his first blood transfusion. It’s a horribly painful procedure but the necessary first step in ridding Roman of his upirness and becoming fully human. Galina visits Olivia at her cottage and tells her about Roman’s transfusions. Olivia is mortified, shocked to hear that her son is ridding himself of his family legacy, and even worse, that Roman plans to have the same painful procedure performed on baby Nadia when she has reached the appropriate age. Andreas throws a party at Destiny’s apartment, he invites Miranda unbeknownst to Peter. When Miranda arrives to Peter’s welcome surprise, they drink, dance, spend time talking with one another, kiss, and eventually make love in Peter’s bedroom. The very next morning, Destiny confronts Miranda with a few choice words just before Miranda is able to sneak out of the apartment and head back to Roman’s house. Destiny explains that she knows what Miranda is up to, she knows she’s got some sort of hustle going, and then tells her to stay the hell away from Peter. Destiny threatens Miranda that she should drive the hell out of Hemlock Grove if she wants to save herself from a world of pain. Miranda is finally able to get away from Destiny and make it back to Roman’s house, where she immediately tells Roman that she had sex with Peter the night before. Then, Miranda breast feeds the baby, sneaks the baby out of the house, and takes it to the local park to play on the swings. While Miranda pushes the baby on the swings, Olivia spies on the two of them from afar. Norman drives a van out to the abandoned house to rendezvous with Shelley as planned. Before Shelley leaves with Norman, she has an emotional farewell with Jason Blevins. Jason goes home and his monstrous father begins beating him senselessly. Shelley hears Jason’s father lacing into him causing her to charge into the house and rescues the boy. But in doing so, she scares her young friend in the process and leaves two people dead. Shelley apologizes to Jason that she cannot take him with her, then collapses into Norman’s van, as he drives her away. Finally, Peter storms into Roman’s house in search of Miranda. Peter and Roman get into a massive brawl in Roman’s living room and eventually tire each other out. When Miranda brings the baby back home to Roman’s, the bomb is dropped on Peter: Letha’s baby survived. In a surprising twist, Miranda invites Roman and Peter to follow her upstairs so that the three of them can get further acquainted as a group.
