Mary Henry is the survivor of a car crash she doesn't even remember surviving. Moving to Utah for a job as a church organist, she keeps seeing visions of a ghoul-like figure and has to escape the lustful attentions of fellow rooming-house neighbour John Linden. Most disturbing are the visions that attract her to a derelict carnival which may hold the secret of her destiny.
