I Am Sam

A cleaner with the mental age of seven gets a homeless woman pregnant who then abandons their daughter. The cleaner then raises his daughter alone but as she grows, her needs outstrip his abilities and Social Services try to separate them. To win her back, he manages to persuade a hard-nosed lawyer to take the case.
