A wry adaptation of Graham Greene's novel. After being recruited as a British agent in Havana, a vacuum-cleaner salesman begins to fabricate information to earn extra cash. The chief of police grows suspicious of his actions and spies on him - unaware that he too is being spied upon by the salesman.
