In 1959 the bodies of nine missing hikers who disappeared into the Russian Ural Mountains were discovered, and based on their injuries authorities concluded their deaths were caused by an unknown compelling force. Decades later, five ambitious American students given a grant to investigate the incident retrace the victims’ journey. Well into their journey they begin to experience a strange intensifying phenomena and must fight for their lives against an unseen terrifying menace.
