John Holmes, legendary porn star of huge talent, in the 80s, was out of films and into drugs. He falls in with gangster Eddie Nash who believes Holmes told a bunch of drugs dealers about his wealth and robbed him. Four are found beaten to death, the survivor incriminates Holmes but at trial, he's acquitted, although ex-wife Sharon Holmes isn't so sure.
