Charles Watts

Not to be confused with Englishman Charlie Watts (the drummer from the rock band the Rolling Stones), Charles Watts was an American actor. Working only in the '50s and '60s, Watts never gained enough steam or recognition to land any major roles, though he did appear in a handful of high-profile titles in both television and films. Watts's professional relationship with acting began at Chattanooga High School in his home state of Tennessee, where he taught drama from 1937 to 1938. It wasn't until the early 1950s that he began putting his knowledge into practice, though many of his early roles were so minor that they went uncredited. By the mid '50s he started getting screen time and credits in major motion pictures like the epic Western romance "Giant," starring Elizabeth Taylor and Rock Hudson. Watts appeared in five different installments of the renowned television anthology series "Alfred Hitchcock Presents," playing a different character each time.
