Dan Reynolds

Frontman of Imagine Dragons, the singer-songwriter Daniel Coulter Reynolds was born in Las Vegas, Nevada. With seven brothers and one sister, Reynolds was raised in a large family as a fourth generation Nevadan. He grew up in the Mormon faith, volunteered for a missionary as a teen, and attended Brigham Young University following his older brothers' footsteps. He formed the band Imagine Dragons while attending university and won BYU's "Battle of the Bands". In 2009, the group filled a spot at the last minute for the Bite of Las Vegas Festival and performed for a crowd of more than 26,000 people. Reynolds' rise to rock stardom exploded from there. Imagine Dragons signed with Interscope Records and dropped their first studio album "Night Visions" in 2012. It debuted at number two on the US Billboard 200 list and appeared on that list for three years. The single "Radioactive" broke world records at the time for staying on the Billboard Hot 100 list for 87 weeks with a record-breaking 23 weeks in the number one spot. When Imagine Dragons released their second album "Smoke + Mirrors" (2015), Reynolds proved that his band was much more than a flash in the pan debuting at number one on the US Billboard 200. In 2016, Reynolds began his own record label under Interscope Records and called it Night Street Records. In 2017, the group released their third album "Evolve" (2017) again dominating the charts. Reynolds began to use his fame to promote causes he cares about and organized a charity festival LOVELOUD in 2017. The festival, which draws attention and resources to fighting teen suicide and promoting LGBTQ+ acceptance, occurred three years in a row and raised more than a million dollars for charities like The Trevor Project and GLAAD. Continuing their success under Dan Reynolds, Imagine Dragons released three more albums "Origins" (2018), "Mercury - Act 1" (2021) and "Mercury - Act 2" (2022).
