Enrico Maria Salerno

Enrico Maria Salerno was an actor who had a successful Hollywood career. Salerno kickstarted his acting career in various films such as the drama "That Long Night In 1943" (1960) with Gabriele Ferzetti, the drama "It Was Night in Rome" (1960) with Giovanna Ralli and the drama "The Angel Wore Red" (1960) with Ava Gardner. He also appeared in the Marcello Mastroianni crime picture "The Lady Killer of Rome" (1961), the Eleonora Rossi-Drago drama "Violent Summer" (1961) and the Broderick Crawford crime feature "Il Bidone" (1962). He kept working in film throughout the sixties, starring in "Weekend Italian Style" (1965), "Candy" (1968) and the mystery "The Gallery Murders" (1969) with Tony Musante. He also lent his voice to "The Gospel According to St. Matthew" (1966). During the latter half of his career, he tackled roles in "Il Contatto Carnale" (1973), "Bisturi, la Mafica Bianca" (1973) and "La Citta Gioca d'azzardo" (1975) with Luc Merenda. He also appeared in the Massimo Ranieri drama "Salvo D'Acquisto" (1976). Salerno more recently acted in "Il Volpone" (1988) with Paolo Villaggio.
