Giorgio Colangeli

Giorgio Colangeli

Italian character actor Giorgio Colangeli began his stage career in the mid-1970s, but it wasn't until more than two decades later that he made the move from theater to film with a supporting role in the thriller "Pasolini: An Italian Crime," based on the mysterious 1975 murder of poet and art film director Pier Paolo Pasolini. While continuing his acclaimed stage career, Colangeli began working regularly in Italian film and television; in 2006, he won the Italian equivalent of an Oscar for his supporting role in the family drama "Salty Air." Two years later, he gained further acclaim in a key role in the political biopic "Il Divo."
