Mr Ward assigns every student to a new group as part of a class assignment, and when Addie is put in the popular group, her status in the school is improved, but it might cause a rift between her and Geena.

Addie, Geena and Zack are now in eighth grade, and everything is going fine with Addie. She is Jake's girlfriend and her new teacher prefers her better than Maris, but things soon will get noisy when she accidentally releases gas.

Various people tell Addie that they've spotted her at the shop `Uptown Juice!', leaving Addie very confused. After Addie is accused of being somewhere she's not, she discovers that her ex is going out with her "twin".

After 66 days of having a crush on Jake, Addie starts panicking because a CD she made about him goes missing. She must find out where it ended up before someone does something embarrassing with it.

Addie has never been responsible with money and owes Geena and Zach a bundle. She pledges to give back everything she owes by getting a job and she is also determined to keep the job to earn some dough of her own.

While spotting Maris on the balance beam, Addie accidentally causes her to fall and sprain her wrist.
