A busy actress, Nancy Osborne also enjoys singing standards. Her 2006 debut recording as a leader, Hot Swing, Cool Jazz, matches her with a big band full of West Coast All-Stars including tenor-saxophonist Pete Christlieb.
Osborne began her career singing with the Young Americans when she was 17 years old. She toured in several shows including Lil Abner, Cabaret, Gypsy and My Fair Lady. She worked for Walt Disney Productions for many years including having a regular role in their Golden Horseshoe Revue. She earned a degree in Theater Arts, had a New York cabaret sister act in 2005 called Birds of a Feather, appeared in the films Apollo 13 and Murder by Number, and acted on such television shows as ER, General Hospital and The Bob Newhart Show.
As a singer, Nancy Osborne has been featured with the Nelson Riddle Orchestra, the Tex Beneke Orchestra, Randy Van Horne, Geo Valle's Swing City Big Band and Johnny Vana's Big Band Alumni. She is based in the Los Angeles area. ~ Scott Yanow, Rovi
