Nelson Mashita
A veteran character actor, Nelson Mashita started regularly picking up roles during the early 1990s, most prominently appearing in a supporting part in Sam Raimi's moody sci-fi thriller "Darkman." After a small recurring stint on the crime show "Jake and the Fatman," Mashita went on to numerous one-off TV spots and was featured in a minor role in the 1996 summer blockbuster "Independence Day." Although he hasn't had a signature part, Mashita has appeared in dozens of major television series, primarily in the sci-fi/fantasy ("The X-Files") or procedural-drama ("CSI: Crime Scene Investigation") vein, making him a vaguely familiar face to many TV viewers.
