And what happens when everything she thought she knew about herself is tested thousands of miles from home? Our Girl finds Molly Dawes (Lacey Turner) leaving a world of pubs and clubs behind her and taking on the challenge of serving as an army medic in Afghanistan. Thrilled to find herself out of the ordinary and on the front line, she gets off to a bad start with her platoon leader Captain James (Ben Aldridge)and finds herself in the company of ‘Smurf’ (Iwan Rheon), a face from the past she’d rather forget. One heroic act that saves a life while risking her own brings a new level of respect from her comrades. But Molly is about to learn that not everything is as it seems, that few can be trusted, and that every opportunity presents the kind of challenge that comes with a price – a price that can end up costing lives.
