Putting the welfare of animals first are the many women and men working daily for the RSPCA across the United Kingdom. Witnesses to some of the worst acts of cruelty against innocent animals, RSPCA inspectors must go through the most demanding trainings that surprisingly parallels those of the special forces. Over a ten-month period, 25 new candidates are followed as their passion for animal welfare motivates them to overcome some of the toughest challenges they have ever had to face. But even a thorough assessment course can't prepare the new inspectors for the heart-wrenching situations they come face to face with.
