A group of British builders head to Germany in search of employment. They arrive with hopes of high wages, a luxury hostel and bierkellers full of frauleins. The truth turns out to be a stalag-like hut on a building site miles from the centre of Dusseldorf.

Neville becomes a hero despite himself and manages to keep his job in the process. On the other hand, Oz is about to be sacked because of his bad attitude towards the Germans and his workmates.

Oz finds himself on a plane back to England after a night of heavy drinking, and while he is worried about being late for work, he's more worried about seeing his wife.

Missing property in the hut causes distress all round. The finger of suspicion points in one direction after another.

There's bad news from home for Bomber when his daughter runs away. Can the gang possibly be of any help?

Neville is under suspicion from all quarters - his wife believes that he is living it up in Germany, and a German girl accuses him of assaulting her. Meanwhile, Dennis has to face up to his impending divorce.
