Billy Connolly goes on an entertaining journey through some of the more remote regions of Canada, travelling from the Atlantic to the Pacific via the fabled North West Passage. On the first leg of his voyage, he discovers some surprising Old World traditions in the New Worlds of Nova Scotia and Newfoundland.

On this leg of the trip, Billy goes through Baffin Island, home of the hardy Inuit, and explores some of the most spectacular and remote scenery on the planet.

Billy travels from the Atlantic to the Pacific through the fabled Northwest Passage. Normally this route is impossible because the sea is completely iced up, but with the changing climate, the ice melts for a few summer weeks. Billy gets the chance of a lifetime to explore a part of the Arctic seen by just a handful of people.

In this final leg of his trip, Billy ventures across the Yukon and British Columbia, where he meets the hardy people who live in these remote areas. He also fulfils a life-changing ambition when he takes part in a traditional and challenging sweat lodge ritual.
