Struggling DIY man Danny Reed wakes up one day to find himself in the body of fashion journalist Veronica Burton. There is no trace of his own body, and he is desperate to find out what has happened but first he must negotiate life as a glamorous thirty-something woman. Can he fend off Veronica's boyfriend and is anyone missing the real Danny?

Danny is finding life as Veronica hard going, and his efforts to find his own body are making his friends suspicious - they cannot understand how `Veronica' knows so much about Danny. Plus, Veronica's boyfriend Jay is keen to re-establish their physical relationship. Meanwhile, the real Veronica is homeless in Danny's body.

The strain of trying to be Veronica finally tips Danny over the edge and he is packed off to hospital, only to find that he has missed his own body by minutes.
