Where does wrestling come from and when did the boom in Germany begin? Wrestlers, commentators, trainers, and a catch wrestling legend, who wrestled with a bear in the 70s, explore the origins of the show sport. The German Wrestling Federation (GWF), based in Berlin, has also been around since the 1990s. The young talent trains at the affiliated wrestling school.

Three wrestlers from GWF have had to walk difficult paths in life. 18-year-old Loky no longer wants to feel like a victim. Milad fled with his family from the Iranian regime. Orlando Silver came to Berlin from Mexico to be closer to his daughter.

As the ring is being set up and the wrestlers warm up, the choreography of wrestling, the division between good and evil, and the parallels to movies and TV shows become apparent. During ring training with Loky and Milad, it becomes clear that the two have actually made it and have qualified for the first fight in front of 700 spectators.
