City of Friends

After his crowd controlling duties at a rock concert, Max drives the whole population of the City of Friends to distraction as he practices his guitar playing skills - which are not too good. In an attempt to direct Max, Bobby organises for the guitar to 'go missing.' Max is beside himself and uses all of his detective skills to track down the guitar. He finally finds it and discovers who hid the guitar in the first place. Bobby congratulates Max on his detective skills and Max decides to calm down his guitar playing, to the delight of all the residents in the City.

Mia, Martin and Jumpi are doing a sponsored walk for charity. Kimmy thinks this is a great idea and takes up Barney's suggestion of a sponsored silence. Kimmy is doing brilliantly, even offering by way of hand signs to look after an injured Jumpi. But it all gets too much for her when she sees a fire. After several desperate attempts of trying to tell people about the fire without actually speaking, Kimmy finally blurts out the news. Kimmy is desolate that she's had to break her silence and won't be eligible for the sponsorship prize, but the whole City of Friends team agree that without her there could have been a really serious incident, so she collects the money for charity in the end. Three cheers for Kimmy!

A circus is in town, and along they have a baby elephant that looks very much like Elphie. The ambulance team are planning a surprise party for Ted, but someone has taken all the food! Raffe spotted the thief from his look-out tower, and Max is sent to find the guilty one - Elphie is the number one suspect!

Timba chases a squirrel and gets stuck down a drain. His howls attract Kimmy and make her very nervous. What is that noise? When Kimmy reports her experience to the team, Jumpi runs off to the park to see if he can hear these strange noises for himself. On hearing the strange noises, Jumpi is convinced it's a dinosaur! No, it's a....thing! No, it's a huge monster! Max and Tiffany investigate and discover poor Timba stuck down the drain, so they call on the team and Jim, Elphie, Tom and Frankie all work together to rescue a very grateful Timba, who is reunited with an equally grateful Tiffany.

Whilst Kimmy is delivering the mail in the City of Friends, she and Jumpi accidently bump into each other. Because Jumpi gets hurt, neither of them see a small parcel drop out of Kimmy bag. The parcel contains nails for Bobby's fence, and because they are scattered around in the road, one by one all the emergency vehicles get punctured tyres. Finally Max is called to the scene in Hayley and it is his detective work that tracks down the nails and solves the mystery of the punctured tyres. Bobby finally gets his nails - and Jumpi finally gets to the hospital to have his grazes seen to!

Abby's radio won't work, so when Ted fixes it he tells her that she will need to have a check-up. Frightened that she's going to be retired from the Ambulance service, Abby panics and drives off into Friend's Forest. It takes an emergency to make Abby realise that she has to go and help as she has the much needed stretcher. The rest of the emergency team are really delighted to see her, and eventually persuade her that a regular check up is necessary for ALL the emergency vehicles to ensure they are ready for all emergencies at all times. Abby has her check up and is passed with flying colours!
