Croí Uladh le John Toal
John begins his journey in Donegal and meets rally driver Gavin Kelly. However, before John gets behind the wheel, Eamon McGee gives him a quick lesson in rally co-driving. John then travels on to Greyabbey in County Down, where he meets the Greyabbey team and broadcaster Caoimhe Ní Chathail to find out more about an unusual character from the 12th century on the wall of the abbey, Seán na Gig.
John joins a running club in west Belfast and finds out more about its unique history. He meets sporting legend Mary Peters, and she discusses the positive impact of sport on our lives. Next stop is the Assisi Sanctuary in Newtownards.
John attempts to learn how to play the harp, gives an old piece of jewellery a new lease of life, and visits Ulster's very own Gracelands.
John stops in for some training at the new GAA club in east Belfast and meets some of its members. From hurling to hockey, he joins Vic Hamilton on the hockey pitch as she attempts to teach him a few new skills. He then travels to the City Hall in Belfast to find out more about a stained-glass window in the hall that commemorates those who went to fight in Spain in the 1930s.
