Dan & Helen's Pennine Adventure

Friends Dan Walker and Helen Skelton travel up the `Backbone of Britain', and this time around, they cycle along the stunning Snake Pass and canoe along Britain's highest canal tunnel.

Helen Skelton and Dan Walker begin atop Stoodley Pike Monument, a Northern landmark with views across the region. From here, Dan and Helen make their way to Hebden Bridge where they meet a ten-year-old planning to keep the craft of clog-making alive.

Dan and Helen abseil 100 metres into one of the Yorkshire Dale's deepest caves, have a picnic together at Pendragon Castle, and explore the former haunts of artists Turner and Hockney.

On the last leg of their Pennine adventure, the duo explore the North Pennines, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, where they try the high-adrenaline activity of Hydrospeeding.
