A new tagger is targeting the stalls of X Middle School’s bathrooms, and Fillmore and Ingrid seek the help of Randal Julian, an awarding-winning macaroni artist turned tagger, currently serving time in a state of permanent detention.

Is the Satty-9 standardized test a fair way to judge students’ intelligence? Someone—disguised as the X Middle School mascot, Lobstee—doesn’t think so. Ingrid and Fillmore track down the renegade lobster and the stolen exams.

Fillmore and Ingrid work to find Lobstee before the big tournament with a new and unwelcome partner, Alistair Greystone, X’s resident 7th grade psychic.

Far from helping little old ladies across the street, the Red Robins are boosting band candy and targeting other clubs that stray into their turf. Ingrid’s commitment to the Safety Patrol—and her friendship with Fillmore— is put to the test when she goes undercover to expose them.

Model Train Clubbers at X Middle school take their hobby very seriously, and chaos ensues when it looks like someone is trying to take the train convention down from the inside. Fillmore and Ingrid track down the culprit, while Fillmore comes to terms with a personal loss.
