Chip, a recovering alcoholic from Venice, California presents himself as a self-help guru but struggles to keep track of his own lies and stories.

Chip finally confronts his landlord and gets some clarity on the situation with his store. Along the way, he also inadvertently helps Dennis and London's first date go very well.

Chip pays a visit to his famous ex-wife Tilly to try and get her help to save his store. Meanwhile, Dennis and London have another dinner date, and Chip disappoints Kara one time too many.

Dennis takes a trip with London and Chip to visit his mother Jackie in Palm Springs, and it soon turns into an emotional rollercoaster.

Chip provides sponsorship to Chip, a new member of the alcoholism support group. Meanwhile, Dennis helps Kara with a certain legal problem, and London and Chip share a moment together.

Chip crashes with Cooler and he has a fight with Dennis, who is growing closer to Kara. Meanwhile, a secret is revealed about London.
