Goblin: The Lonely and Great God

Kim Sin becomes a goblin after his death, and lives for more than 900 years. For those times, he watches deaths and births of humans, being a guardian for them when necessary. However, one day, a girl appears in front of him and everything changes.

Eun-tak jumps from Seoul, South Korea, to Quebec, Canada, in an instant, for Shin. After realizing to be in a foreign country, Eun-tak tries to convince Shin that he's a Goblin, and declares she will "marry him". The man cannot see the sword stuck in his own chest, therefore, he keeps denying everything. At that time, the Grim Reaper finds the soul of a man who ran away from Eun-tak's mother and is about to send it to the otherworld.

Shin and the Grim Reaper save Eun-tak, who's abducted by a debt collector. Their rescue mission is so rough her feelings get hurt. After that, Shin asks Deok-hwa to conduct a background check on his aunt who abducted the girl. Meanwhile, the Grim Reaper sheds a few tears when he sees Sunny reaching for the same ring. Sunny, who likes the Grim Reaper back, gives him her contacts. He doesn't reach out for her, frustrating her.

Shin is upset when Eun-tak tells him that she's been aware of the sword being stuck in his chest from the beginning. The Grim Reaper suggests Shin, who wants to live, to take Eun-tak to the otherworld. At first he's grateful to him, but then Shin is upset again when Eun-tak, who has lost her house, asks him to "live together". Shin decides to let her stay in a luxury hotel for the time being, as he cannot choose whether to die or live.

Sunny and the Grim Reaper meet again at the footbridge and decide to go to a coffee shop. However, as the Grim Reaper keeps sipping his coffee silently, Sunny, who's pretty impatient, encourages him to talk. When the conversation finally starts, as soon as he asks for her name, she answers back immediately. Then, he worries about not having a name. Shin comprehends his love for Eun-tank and he's ready to die for her. In order to pull out his sword, Eun-tak stops living in the hotel and they start their life together, but...

Ten years later, when Eun-tak has turned 29 years old, Shin tries to get her to pull out his sword. However, Eun-tak, who doesn't know the true meaning behind the sword, first tells Shin to think about what he desires, and then she goes to her part-time job. Around that time, the Grim Reaper, who goes to see Sunny with Deok-hwa, is confused again when he's been asked about his profession and business card. Both the Grim Reaper, who has nothing, and Shin, who cannot get Eun-tak to pull out his sword, are bummed out.
