Detective Ayako Mochizuki gets the chance to investigate a murder on her own, but as she is arresting the prime suspect, their souls switch bodies.

Now helplessly in the body of suspected serial killer Haruto Hidaka, Ayako must decide whether to turn herself in or help him clear his name.

Ayako's colleague Hideo realises that her soul has been switched with Haruto's and tries to help stop him, while Ayako pursues a lead to regain her body.

Another murder is committed and Ayako fears it was by Haruto in her body. Hideo is afraid to act as rival detective Mitsuo finds a witness to the crime.

Ayako wonders if Haruto is covering for someone and isn't the real murderer. Details about Haruto and the crimes are mysteriously leaked on social media.

Ayako investigates Haruto's past. Hideo is approached by a man who wants a plea bargain in exchange for information about the timing of the murders.
