In Limbo

Charlie is rocked by grief when his best friend, Nathaniel, dies. But Nate soon returns as a ghost trapped in limbo, and he needs Charlie's help to break free from his new eternal prison.

While Charlie tries to rescue Nate from limbo, Freya and Charlie discover that Nate transferred $30,000 to a secret bank account before he died. They wonder what kind of trouble he was in.

It is time for Nate's funeral. Convinced that Nate will disappear after it, Charlie is surprised to find he is relieved when his ghost remains - he is not ready to be alone yet.

Charlie and Freya seek comfort in each other, blurring the lines of their friendship. A mystery package arrives on Freya's doorstep that raises further questions about Nate's life.

Jay warns Charlie against getting too close to Freya. Charlie seeks the truth about the money. After spending the night on the couch with Freya, Charlie is forced to lie to Nate to cover up his growing guilt.

As Charlie uncovers the mystery of the missing $30,000, it only raises more questions as to why Nate chose to end his life. When Charlie receives divorce papers from Beth, Nate lights on the idea that this must finally be his ticket out of Limbo.
