Kate Humble's Coastal Britain

Kate heads to the Exmoor coast for an 11-mile walk. Along the way, she boards the world's steepest water-powered railway and visits an Iron Age fort.

On the North Yorkshire coast, Kate Humble begins her tour at the picturesque village of Robin Hood's Bay before making her along the coastal way to the Victorian seaside town of Scarborough.

Kate walks in the footsteps of dinosaurs on the so-called Jurassic Coast, where she admires an ancient footprint and learns about sea level management.

Starting at Dunwich Heath, Kate walks an 11-mile stretch of the Suffolk coastline, one of the fastest eroding in Europe. Heading on to Southwold, Kate takes over the oars of the local ferry to cross the 50-metre stretch of estuary.

Kate walks a 13-mile stretch of Yorkshire coastline. Kate heads down in to the fishing village of Staithes, and then along the coast to Port Mulgrave. Kate then goes to Whitby, inspiration for Dracula, to finish her journey.

Kate walks 12 miles of Suffolk's shingle coast, starting at Minsmere Nature Reserve, before heading past Sizewell B power station.
