Kuromukuro

A meteor falls to Earth, bringing with it a wave of aggressive robots; a research scientist awakens a man named Kennosuke from a mysterious cube who fights back against the attackers.

Invading mecha continue to rain down upon the countries of the world; Kennosuke escapes from the scientists and takes Yukina to find his ancient mech, the Black Relic, which he uses to fight the aliens, whom he calls Oni.

Kennosuke victorious, but the enemy geoframe gets away. He is captured once again but escapes and finds Koharu.

One of the geoframe pilots reveals the aliens' intentions to the U.N. scientists and Kennosuke recounts the aliens' arrival 450 years ago, but questions remain over Kennosuke's allegiance.
