Everything around Tae-kyung feels so strange; he doesn't even need a friend; he freezes, catching whispers of gossip behind his back; looking around, he finds himself alone and lonely amidst his classmates.

Tae-kyung wakes up like an early bird so that he can make a good impression on the student council, especially on Shin-woo; he even takes on the role of a secret cleaner, tidying up the student council room before anyone else arrives.

Tae-kyung, a temporary student council member, is striving to become a regular member; he tries to improve his relationship with Shin-woo by putting on an awkward smile and acting friendly, but Shin-woo remains aloof and cold.

While protecting Shin-woo from bullies, Tae-kyung ends up with a facial injury; Shin-woo is clearly sorry, but unable to overcome his awkwardness, he merely offers a series of lame excuses instead of a genuine apology.

Tae-kyung sees Shin-woo walking across the hallway and waves in greeting, but Shin-woo ignores him and heads down the stairs; Tae-kyung follows and tries to talk to him, but Shin-woo seems flustered and avoids him.
