Matt Baker: Our Farm in the Dales

Matt Baker and his family return as they prepare for a busy season at the farm. They get hands on for lambing season and there's exciting news for the goats. Matt also heads to the restoration garage to consider the future of his dad's old Dodge.

Matt reveals a big makeover project for the farm, but before they can start building, there's demolition to be done. Luke takes on the task of fixing up the family's old Land Rover, and the farm celebrates a new addition.

Lambing season continues, and the family builds a field shelter to keep an eye on the ewes. Luke and Molly look forward to meeting the first pygmy goats to be born in the valley. The family witnesses the birth of the first Herdwick lambs.

Janice says goodbye to some of her beloved sheep, Matt's makeover of the patio and seating area begins to take shape, the female donkeys are given a brush up in preparation for the arrival of a donkey jack, and the goats venture to pastures new.

It's summer, and time for the sheep to be sheared. Matt builds a free-range grazing area for the chickens, and the family pull on their bee suits and hopefully perform the farm's first ever honey harvest.

It's time for the hay harvest, a seasonal job that provides the animals with enough food to get them through the winter. Matt begins the epic job of mowing the meadows, drying the grass and baling it up.
