The Halls family settle into their new home, a new habitat where the remarkable wildlife views them as just another animal. Monty joins scientists exploring Galapagos' hidden worlds, and Tam discovers Galapagos' dirty secret - that even these pristine islands are not immune from the perils of the plastic age. Together, the family go in search of the islands' most iconic resident, the Galapagos tortoise, and learn more about the island's most famous visitor, Charles Darwin.

Monty Halls joins a shark survey, learns how to make small scale fishing sustainable, and also goes on a terrifying night dive. The family explore volcanoes, and also start keeping chickens and growing their own food.
