Climate change is creating catastrophic wildfires and other fire phenomena like firenados. Increased global temperatures have in some cases made wildfires a year-round concern.

Climate change means warmer ocean temperatures and higher sea levels which are intensifying hurricanes. Some experts say we should add a Category six to the Saffir-Simpson hurricane wind scale.

Perhaps the most calamitous of the effects of climate change is the melting permafrost and resulting rising sea levels. Some inhabited US islands are in danger of disappearing in the next ten years.

Warmer weather makes storms more unpredictable. With sudden down burst thunderstorms and random lightning strikes, rogue storm events are becoming more frequent and widespread as temperatures rise.

As the atmosphere warms, tornadoes are appearing in places not accustomed to this deadly phenomenon. Tornado clusters of more than thirty two tornadoes have doubled since the 1950s.
