When human skeletal remains are found in a quarry outside a small town in Iceland, the news about the discovery is broadcast nationally, and three women are shaken to their core. Detective Vera is under pressure to close this cold case quickly.

Karlotta starts to lose focus while nursing and Elisabet lies to her about what Anna really thinks about their situation. Meanwhile, Vera and Einar are busy building their case.
