Street Hospital
Not everyone is able to make it to a doctor's office or hospital when they're having a medical issue. That is when paramedics come into the picture. This documentary programme follows a group of paramedics in Wellington, New Zealand, as they roam the city's busiest party street, Courtenay Place. It's a tireless job that can range from comical to frustrating at slow times, but they become serious when there's a medical situation that requires their attention. The street medics' goal is to treat people at the site of their injuries to keep hospital emergency rooms from getting clogged up with injuries that could be treated elsewhere.
