Less than six months after his mother dies, Jessie runs into the only girl that ever broke his heart.

Supported by his friends and father, Jessie breaks things off with Lucy and tries to move on with his life.

Lucy tries to convince Jessie to follow her path to LA, but Jessie resists temptation.

John's cousin Lydia moves to town and falls hard for Jessie. Jessie struggles with the potential of a relationship with Lydia, hiring her at the garage, and weakening his friendship with John.

Jessie wonders if what he has with Lydia is real, or if it is just a rebound. He turns to pastor Luke for guidance, then asks god to show him the path he is supposed to take.

Jessie hosts an old-fashioned Halloween get-together with his friends from high school. The party doesn't go as planned with either Lydia or Maggie.
