A man dies after falling from a scaffolding. Everything points to Pauline, his ex-wife, who made a clumsy call to the emergency services and did so much too late.

Pauline is separating from her husband, who humiliates her and refuses to help her financially with their two kids. As she drives her son to his father's house, the boy finds his mom kneeling in front of his dad's lifeless body.

After breaking up with her boyfriend, Pauline disappears with her kids. Suspicions grow about her guilt, including questions as to why she didn't call the emergency services right away and why she left without telling anyone.

Pauline attempts to get in touch with her children, but the Borels won't let her, as they are trying to get custody of the kids. The grandparents are acting inappropriately. Violence and humiliation seem to prevail at their house.

Romain, Enzo and Willy try to shed light on what happened. The jury investigate whether Pauline saw Olivier on a scaffolding and seized the opportunity to make him fall.
