The urban theatre circuit makes its way to New York City, where playwright, composer, producer and actor JD Lawrence assembles a reputable cast of big personalities and places them all under the same roof.
Cast members attempt to learn their lines and Ginuwine wonders if his role is for him. D'atra confronts Kristen about an issue and the connection between Tondy and Ginuwine heats up.
Tensions remain high in the townhouse and after experiencing the wrath of D'atra, the cast wants nothing to do with her. Rehearsals are divided as D'atra is separated from the rest of the cast.
In the aftermath of D'atra's firestorms, everyone tries to find some sense of normality to make it through the next four weeks. A tense rehearsal triggers Taylour to reignite old issues.
The cast give D'atra the cold shoulder after another blowup, Jermaine has an intense conversation with his parents, and the cast are concerned that their leading man is so disengaged.
With two weeks left, JD has no more time for excuses. Everyone seems to be getting their act together, but an unexpected change leaves the entire cast stunned and upset.
