Wrote two classics of Italian Neo-Realist cinema, Alberto Lattuada's "The Bandit" and Luigi Zampa's "To Live in Peace" (both 1946), as well as Michelangelo Antonioni's debut feature "Chronicle of a Love Affair" (1950).
