Josephine Chaplin

Josephine Chaplin was an actress with a strong presence in film throughout her Hollywood career. Chaplin's earliest roles were in film, including "Habricha el Hashemesh" (1972), the adaptation "I Racconti di Canterbury" (1972) with Hugh Griffith and "Les 4 Charlots Mousquetaires" (1973) with Les Charlots. She also appeared in "Nuits rouges" (1973). She continued to act in productions like "Vrhovi Zelengore" (1976), the Annie Girardot drama "Docteur Francoise Gailland" (1978) and the drama "Bay Boy" (1984) with Liv Ullmann. During the latter half of her career, she tackled roles in the mystery "Poulet au Vinaigre" (1985) with Jean Poiret and "Coincidences" (1987). She also had a part in the TV miniseries "Hemingway" (1987-88). Chaplin more recently acted in "Downtown Heat" (1991). Josephine Chaplin died on July 13, 2023 in Paris, France at the age of 74.
