Carol Woods was an actress who was no stranger to being featured in numerous film roles throughout her Hollywood career. Woods's career began by acting in comedies like "Eddie Murphy Raw" (1987) with Eddie Murphy and Tatyana Ali and the Liza Minnelli film "Stepping Out" (1991). She had an early role on the television special "Blood Brothers: The Joey DiPaolo Story" (HBO, 1992-93). She worked in series television while getting her start in acting, including a part on "Law & Order" (NBC, 1990-2010). Following that project, she worked on "The Parent 'Hood" (1995-99), "The Practice" (ABC, 1997-2004) and "Third Watch" (NBC, 1999-2005). As her entertainment career progressed, she appeared in "Sweet and Lowdown" (1999). She also lent her voice to "Knitwits" (1997). Woods took on film roles in more recent years, appearing in the Tariq Trotter dramatic musical "Brooklyn Babylon" (2001), the comedy adaptation "The Honeymooners" (2005) with Cedric The Entertainer and "Across the Universe" (2007) with Evan Rachel Wood. She held additional roles in television including a part on "The Good Wife" (CBS, 2009-2016). Most recently, Woods acted on "The Big C" (Showtime, 2010-13).
