田中秀幸

Hideyuki Tanaka is a well-known and respected voice over actor, or seiyu, who has primarily worked in Japanese animation, or Anime. Tanaka attended the Toho Gakuen School of Music, and by 23 he had already landed his first role in action drama "Konketsuji Rika: Hamagure komoriuta." Throughout the late 1970s he worked on several features and in a number of television shows in Japan, including the family adventure "The Wonderful Adventures of Nils" and as Luke on science fiction drama " Mirai shônen Konan." Consistent work followed throughout the 1980s as Tanaka worked on the fantastical comedy "Magical Fairy Pelsia," where he played Mr. Akanuma, and as Marcel Hope-Rabbit on the 1986 children's program "Maple Town." For his lengthy career in anime he is best known for his roles in the action-packed Anime productions "Saint Seiya," "Metal Gear Solid," and "Vampire Hunter D." His work carried on consistently into the 2000s, and in 2004 he landed the part of Donquixote Doflamingo in "One Piece," an action-adventure cartoon that follows the travels and travails of treasure hunters seeking a legendary find.
