William Newman

William Newman was an actor who had a successful Hollywood career. Newman's earliest roles were in film, including "Squirm" (1976), the drama "Brubaker" (1980) with Robert Redford and the dramatic adaptation "The Postman Always Rings Twice" (1981) with Jack Nicholson. He also appeared in "Silver Bullet" (1985) with Gary Busey, the comedy "Playing for Keeps" (1986) with Danny Jordano and the thriller "The Serpent and the Rainbow" (1988) with Bill Pullman. His film career continued throughout the nineties in productions like the horror film "Leprechaun" (1992) with Warwick Davis, the Dustin Hoffman comedic drama "Hero" (1992) and the Jeff Bridges dramatic adaptation "Fearless" (1993). He also appeared in the Robin Williams blockbuster dramedy "Mrs. Doubtfire" (1993). Film continued to be his passion as he played roles in the Jonathan Taylor Thomas dramatic adaptation "Tom and Huck" (1995), "The Craft" (1996) and the Sean Connery hit action flick "The Rock" (1996). He also appeared in "Santa With Muscles" (1996) with Hulk Hogan and "Touch" (1997). Newman most recently acted on "My Name is Earl" (NBC, 2005-09).
