A bored suburban housewife becomes obsessed with a rebellious freewheeler whom she stumbles across in a series of ads in the personal columns from someone who is `desperately seeking Susan', but Susan is in big trouble, and matters are further complicated when the housewife is mistaken for her and drawn into a bizarre world.
