My Life Directed by Nicolas Winding Refn

Nicolas Winding Refn’s wife Liv Corfixen’s film My Life Directed by Nicolas Winding Refn is a personal documentary about her husband and his struggle to reconcile a fast growing career as an international film director with his role as a family man and father. Corfixen follows Refn with her camera as the family moves to Bangkok with him for 6 months for the production of his feature film Only God Forgives. Corfixen's film reveals that it is no easy task to direct a large scale international film while simultaneously keeping both wife, two kids, actors and visiting Hollywood guests happy. The film follows Refn throughout the production of Only God Forgives up until and including the world premiere at the Cannes Film Festival. It also gives the audience a unique insight into the warm friendship between Refn and Ryan Gosling, and a glimpse of cult director Alejandro Jodorowsky's tarot readings for both Refn and Corfixen.
