Pathfinders: In the Company of Strangers

Normandy 6th June 1944: The largest invasion in history was about to begin, but was dependent upon a special group of individuals completing a deadly mission. 82nd Airborne Pathfinders was a volunteer unit of American paratroopers whose mission was to land in the heart of enemy territory, and survive long enough to direct the coming airborne invasion of Normandy. Their only hope for survival lay in remaining undiscovered, successfully marking the drop zones and holding off the enemy until the ensuing invasion arrived. This film tells their untold story, and reveals the truth, honour and courage of one of the most daring and widely unrecognized missions on D-Day.
