Phantasm IV: Oblivion

Reggie, now embracing his call as a lone soldier fighting the Tall Man's army of the dead, sets out to find Mike, who ran off to uncover the secrets of his mysterious psychic bond to the Tall Man. The Tall man tries to lure Mike to his worlds by convincing him he is alone, but Reggie is committed to finding and saving his friend. Mike, unsure of who or what he sees as he journeys into the past and dimensions unknown, feels he is drawing closer to his destiny - but will he come out of it on the other side?
