On a sight-seeing road trip of India, a man falls for the daughter of a singer. In time, she falls for him too. Her dad approves of the man, so both go to Bombay to meet his family. On their arrival, they are shunned and treated as second class citizens. This lasts throughout the day, with the treatment getting worse at every point.
